Microsoft Corporation is bound to release the Lumia 650 in two variants. The second variant under model number RM-1154 recently received the Federal Commissions Communication (FCC) certification, indicating that its nearing release.
International Business Times stated on its article that the Microsoft Lumia 650 was previously speculated to launch on 1 February, but it didn't materialize. Aother prediction has surfaced stating that release date of Lumia 650 had been postponed to mid-February due to some software issue. With this, the smartphone could be announced in the next few days. Some tech enthusiasts are expecting it on February 15, though it is not confirmed yet.
The Microsoft Lumia 650 is anticipated to arrive in two models, one a single SIM with model number RM-1152 and the other a dual-SIM with model number with RM-1154. The former variant had passed FCC certification last month, and now, the latter too has passed the certification test. It also went on to claim that the Microsoft Lumia 650 will arrive with a price tag of €220 in Europe and $200 in the US.
As for the Lumia 650's features and specs, The Mobile Indian reported that this handset will sport a 4.97-inch display. It may be packed with a 16 GB of memory and be engineered with a 1.3 GHz quad core processor.
When it comes to the camera, it is anticipated to be armed with an 8-megapixel rear-facing shooter and a 5-megapixel front-facing snapper for selfies.
Interestingly, a French retailer, FNAC listed the Lumia 650 on its website and based on the listing, this upcoming device from Microsoft would feature a 5 inch AMOLED touchscreen. Of course, it will run on Windows Phone operating system.
This handset is expected to have a 16 GB internal storage and a 128 GB micro SD card slot capacity. With a 1.3 GH3z Snapdragon quad core processor, a 2,000 mAh capacity battery is predicted to keep the device's lights on. It reportedly features an 8-megapixel auto focus camera that comes along with an LED flash light, and a 5 megapixel front camera.
Aside from these speculations, another rumor has surfaced claiming the Microsoft Lumia 650 will have an XL version. According to Phones Review, trailing the previous XL models from Microsoft this would certainly be believable. In fact, a leaked image which was claimed to be the XL variant of the Lumia 650 appeared a few days ago. The handset in the photo looked to be the same as the rumored Lumia 850, so it is now more likely to have a Microsoft Lumia 650 XL rather than a Lumia 850.
Nevertheless, no confirmation has been given yet; thus, these details remain on the rumor mill. But as the speculated release date nears, more information about Microsoft's Lumia 650 XL should surface soon.
