Microsoft Corporation's patrons have been waiting for the release of the company's upcoming budget-friendly handset dubbed as Microsoft Lumia 650. Days before its slated launch, predictions about its price, specs and features have resurfaced, stirring the fans' excitement towards the new device.
Christian Post recently reported that a reliable tipster in the smartphone industry obtained press images of the upcoming Lumia 650 and he has shared it with the public. The leaked photos have made its way online through a social networking site, thanks to tipster Evan Blass, who goes by the username @evleaks.
The images revealed a handset with a metallic frame, looking very similar to Lumia 550. Nonethelss, the metallic frame running through its corners gives the smartphone a preferred premium look. The listing also says this Lumia handset will support HD voice and Glance Screen.
When it comes with other features and specifications, International Business Times stated that the Microsoft Lumia 650 will sport a pocket-friendly 4.97-inch display. Under its chassis it is a quad-core processor running at 1.3 GHz. It is expected to be come equipped with 16 GB of built-in storage space and Windows 10 Mobile as it comes out of the box.
As for its camera, it will be armed with an 8-megapixel rear-facing sensor, together with a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter for taking selfies.
Past speculations suggested that the Lumia 650 will arrive having a microSD card slot for memory expansion and a 2,000 mAh battery cell. It will also be packed by a modest 1 GB of RAM and sport a 720p screen resolution. Apart from the standard connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS, there'll be no LTE support.
Even though information about the device's measurement is not known, it is predicted to weigh 150g .
When it comes to price, Neurogadget stated that based on leaks and rumors the Microsoft Lumia 650 will be a budget-friendly handset tagged at €199.99, without a contract. This price has been mentioned by three countries: Ireland, the UK and Czech Republic.
Lumia 650 could be the last Lumia phone to be released by Microsoft as a new line-up of Surface phones is rumoured to replace the series. As usual, the company remains mum about these speculations. Lumia fans can only keep their fingers crossed that Lumia 650 will still have a successor in the future.
