Microsoft will soon release a new mid-range phone with a premium look, reported International Business Times. Various leaks and rumors on the Microsoft Lumia 650 have surfaced online. It is expected to be smaller and cheaper than the expensive plastic-built Lumia 950 and 950 XL.
The Microsoft Lumia 650 will sport metallic frames to achieve a premium design. A leaked image showed a web camera placed on the upper right corner of the Microsoft smartphone.
According to reliable tipster Evan Blass, the Microsoft Lumia 650 will be the last Lumia phone made. Microsoft will reportedly launch the Lumia 650 in two variants. Lawyer Herald said that there will be an XL version of the device which was rumored to have been captured in another leaked image. It was shown to sport a similar design as the Lumia 850.
The release of the Microsoft Lumia 650 was hinted as one of its variants with build number RM-1154 got a certification from the Federal Commissions Communication (FCC). Some people believe that the Lumia 650 will be unveiled in February 15. Software problems were thought to have delayed the release.
Rumors say that the Microsoft Lumia 650 will have a smaller 5" display, 8MP rear camera, 5MP snapper, 16GB storage, and 1.3GHz quad-core processor. It is expected to run on Windows 10 OS and may also allow memory expansion via microSD card slots.
For power, the Lumia 650 will reportedly rely on a 2,000 mAh battery. It is also rumored to tout several features such as Glance Screen and HD Voice.
GSMArena reported that the Lumia 650 will be sold at a price of €199.99 without contract in Ireland. On the other hand, it will cost $199 in the U.S.
