Motorola is anticipated to release another handset called the Moto X 2016. Based on some leaks, this handset will arrive with a fingerprint scanner and a heat pipe for its Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset .
According to MNR Daily, Motorola has manufactured some of great smartphones. The Moto X Play and Moto X Style are two of such handsets, which happen to be the flagship devices for Motorola. Now, the company is speculated to be rolling out with the next generation of the Moto X. The Motorola Moto X 4th Generation is said to be in development as of the moment.
International Business Times reported that the upcoming handset from Motorola will undergo massive redesign as it will sport a metal and glass construction and will also come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset. This arrangement raises concerns of heating but it seems like Motorola has it in control.
Based on a leaked image by a Chinese technology website, the Motorola's Moto X 2016 edition will feature a heat pipe to overcome the heating issues that may be generated by the Snapdragon 820 chipset. The heat pipe will quickly transmit the heat to the heat sink while utilizing the handset's full potential.
Even if Qualcomm may have fixed the heating issues which has been a major setback for Snapdragon 810 chipset; in Snapdragon 820 SoC, Motorola is playing safe.
With all the idea of redesigning and heat pipe integration, it indicates that the Moto X 2016 edition will not be too thin, which is a trend followed by all major companies like Samsung, Apple and others.
The heat pipe cooling technology is not entirely new to the market as manufacturers have long adapted the method in PCs and notebook computers to control too much heat. Additionally, Microsoft and Sony have already incorporated a similar technology in their respective flagships, Lumia 950 and Xperia Z5 Premium, to overcome the heating problems induced by Snapdragon 820 processor.
Additionally, Android Headlines cited a Tweet from technology journalist @Ricciolo1 stating that the next generation Motorola Moto X will come with a fingerprint scanner. This is not new since the third generation device was linked with biometric fingerprint scanning as well. But when both Moto X models were released earlier in the year, the technology had passed Motorola by.
When it comes with the release, it is expected to hit market shelves on second quarter of 2016. But this information has not been confirmed by Motorola yet so fans of the company are advised to keep an eye for the confirmed updates that will hopefully be given soon by the tech company.
