Marvel's 'Inhumans' is an upcoming live-action film intended as part of the MCU's Phase Three. It may not crossover with television's 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' according to television mainstay Clark Gregg.

According to The Movie Network, no crossover may happen between Marvel's upcoming film 'Inhumans' and the television series 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D'.

Marvel's 'Inhumans' is an upcoming superhero film intended as the 23rd installment in the massive Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). It is part of the MCU's Phase Three and will be its final film. Although no further details have been announced, it was previously reported that the film is scheduled to be released on July 12, 2019 with Joe Robert Cole will penning the screenplay.

Development for the film began in 2011 under Marvel Studios but has not been updated since. It was only announced on 2014 that Marvel will be pushing through with the project. It was originally slated to debut on the big-screen on November 2, 2018.

Meanwhile, 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' is an American television series based on the fictional peacekeeping organization of the same name and created for ABC by Joss Whedon. It is set within the MCU and shares continuity and parallel timelines with the cinematic franchise. The first season follows the events after 'The Avengers' and 'Iron Man 3'.

Clark Gregg, who plays the main character Phil Coulson in the television series, shared his views on the upcoming 'Inhumans' film saying that it may build on its own independent script and setting and may not have a crossover with 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D'.

According to /Film, he said, "The Inhumans movie I suspect will be its own cinematic version. That writer and director will have free reign to do what they want to do with the Inhumans. But hopefully there'll be some way that our Inhumans connect to that. It'd be too bad if that was wasted."

Another article by Movie TV Tech Geeks pointed out that Gregg's character met his demise in 'The Avengers' film. Agent Phil Coulson also appeared in the original comic book series and was known to have put together the popular superhero team-up together with Nick Fury.

Marvel's 'Inhumans' is an upcoming live-action film intended as part of the MCU's Phase Three. It follows the story of altered human beings that were the result of experimental testing on ancient humans by the extraterrestrial Kree race.
