‘Suicide Squad’ prequel to ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’? Margot Robbie committed tattooing faux-pas on set

'Suicide Squad' is an upcoming action-adventure and fantasy film directed by David Ayer. It is rumored to be a prequel to Zack Snyder's 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' starring Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot and Ben Affleck. Meanwhile, Margot Robbie talked about her lack of tattooing skills during a recent interview with Stephen Colbert.

According to Movie Pilot, the upcoming anti-hero film is speculated to be a prequel to 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice'. 'Suicide Squad' is set to premiere on August 5, 2016 while the latter will be released months earlier on March 6. There had been several connections hinted at between the two films such as character references and cryptic statements.

Another article by Screen Rant reported that David Ayer's 'Suicide Squad' will end with a major jail break in Belle Reve, a prison facility that contains metahuman criminals. The film will then set-up the events of the planned standalone Batman film as well as the upcoming 'Justice League' series.

'Suicide Squad' is the live-action adaptation of the DC comics anti-hero team of the same name commissioned to fight on the side of the United States government to earn reprieve. They are formally known as Task Force X and perform high risk missions under the command of organization head Amanda Waller. Meanwhile, 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' introduces Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman in the beginnings of a superhero team-up.

The anti-hero film will star Will Smith as Deadshot, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Jared Leto as Joker, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flagg, Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, Jay Hernandez as El Diablo and Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn.

It was reported by Complex that the cast members set-up an impromptu tattoo parlor on-set in the name of Robbie's Harley Quinn. During an interview with Stephen Colbert, Robbie admitted that she managed to tattoo some of her co-stars and a total of 26 people - including herself. She even joked that she had a personal tattoo gun in her possession.

However, the 25-year old Hollywood beauty revealed that her tattooing abilities were less than perfect despite everything. She said that in addition to intentionally misspelling the word squad for 'skwad', she accidentally misspelled the word 'skwad' when she inked a crew member.

She said, "I did spell one wrong once on an epic dude named Simon, who was Jai Courtney's cast assistant... He put his hand up first to get the 'skwad' tattoo... It's pretty big, it's on his arm. Everyone was spelling it 'skwad', and I went straight from the 's' to the 'W', so it read 'Swad'."

'Suicide Squad' is an upcoming action-adventure and fantasy film based on the DC Comics anti-hero team of the same name. It is written and directed by David Ayer. It is scheduled to premiere in theaters on August 5, 2016.
