LG put last year G2 phones in doom society by announcing that the device will not be getting the official Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. With G2 under Verizon Wireless seen running Android 6.0 Marshmallow on a benchmark test, new reports swirl that G2 could now possibly be qualified to get the update any time soon.
LG G2, being an unforgettable device for breaking the hearts of thousands of owners, is reportedly back to the Android 6.0 Marshmallow scene. According to latest reports, a unit of LG G2 under Verizon was seen running Android 6.0 Marshmallow on Geekbench. As it was reported, LG G2 got a considerable score during the test which prompted speculations that the phone could possibly make the South Korean company bring back the device to the Marshmallow race.
However, there is no confirmation as of now whether or not the company will indeed be releasing the official update. Custom ROMs for the device have been around since last year. Although it was generous enough for LG to some G2 owners, many are still clamoring for the official update to be rolled out.
Android 6.0 Marshmallow is deemed the biggest and most polished Android in history. The latest version of Google Now comes with Now on Tap, a standout addition making this feature most improved and most prominent amid the many. The new version of the predictive assistant works by inching its way to apps to gather related information to display onscreen that users or owners might want to know or search about.
It displays any information under the sun including reviews (of movies, album, etc.), parking lots, malls, parks, restaurants, hotels, celebrity news, current and upcoming events, latest apps, location, and the list goes on.
To use Google Now, press and hold the home button while an app is being launched until it shows up. Wait for it to finish reading device screen until it suggests or recommends information.
