The LG G4 that was launched last year is now expected to have its successor in the market shelves soon. LG's upcoming flagship handset G5 is predicted to be revealed during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2016.
According to Christian Post, the South Korean tech company is finally ready to launch the LG G5. The announcement about its release is expected to occur during this year's MWC, which will take place on Sunday, Feb. 21. This speculation is likely since the big events like this is usually the time companies reveal their flagship handsets. In LG's case, it is the G5 which will go head to head with Samsung's Galaxy S6 Edge+.
Last week, LG Electronics seemed to have challenged Samsung, posting on a social networking site "@SamsungMobile Go from zero to full instantly with a removable battery." This post gave a link to LG's V10, another powerful handset that can possibly hinder the interest of fans on the new Galaxy device.
Christian Today said that this statement suggests LG is not ready to take away removable batteries yet. It can be remembered that when Samsung decided to ditch this feature, many users were not happy. That being the situation, LG's plan to retain the removable battery option can actually give the company an advantage.
Meanwhile, a clip showing a 3D rendering of the LG G5 released by Tech Configuration indicates some of its specs and features. Based on the video clip, the device wcould have a dual camera setup, a USB-C port and a fingerprint scanner that's located right below the rear-facing shooters. The bezels are ultra-thin, making the device look extra sleek and the screen appear bigger.
The LG G5 is also rumored to arrive featuring a 5.6-inch Quad HD display with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and 4GB RAM under its chassis. As for the cameras, it will arrive with a 6MP and 8MP capacities, while the selfie snapper will be of 8MP.
Additionally, TNH Online reported that LG might incorporate a cleaner user interface with the G5. This is because a lot of Android smartphone manufacturers have started shaping the user interfaces. Tech enthusiast are expecting that LG will take the same direction it did with G4, but this time, the focus should be with the shift of the user interface.
The South Korean smartphone maker is also expected to address the over-heating issues as it rolls out the G5. Hopefully, it will arrive with a back panel that doesn't overheat in one's hands but still keeps the appealing look of its predecessor, LG G4.
