The budget friendly smartphones from LG, K10 and K4 is expected to hit the European market this week. These handsets from the South Korean tech company is slated to be launched to other markets as well.
According to Android Community, wthe LG K10 won't be the first and the last budget friendly handset to be released by LG Electronics. This low-priced smartphone is just one under the new K series that is targeting the low to mid-range markets. Aside from the K10, there's also the K7 which is almost ready for public release.
The South Korean tech company is already working on more K series smartphones and as a matter of fact, a teaser had an earlier reference to a K4, K5, and K8.
Although there are no available information about the K7, an official product video from LG has been visible featuring the K10 and the K4. Based on the promotional video, these handsets will be available in key markets around the world.
Starting this week, the two budget friendly smartphones from LG will roll out in Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). In the forthcoming weeks, the tandem will be ready in some parts of Asia, Middle East, and Latin America.
When it comes to specifications and features, Android Authority stated on its article that the LG K10 features a 5.3-inch In-Cell Touch HD LCD display, Android 5.1 Lollipop and 2,300 mAh removable battery. There are a few specs combos available, with the LTE version that has an octa-core SoC clocked at 1.14 GHz or a quad-core 1.3 GHz CPU which is also found in the 3G version.
As for the camera, the LG K10's primary camera will either be a 13 MP or 8 MP shooter paired with an 8 MP or 5 MP front-facing camera, depending what model the buyers will choose. There are also different model-dependent RAM options: 2 GB, 1.5 GB and 1 GB. The LG K10 arrives with either 8 GB or 16 GB of internal storage with microSD expansion.
On the other hand, Android Central cited some of the features that can be seen with the LG K4. The K4 is an entry-level device featuring a 4.5-inch display and is engineered with a 1.0GHz Quad-Core chipset. This device is packed with an 8GB of memory and has support for LTE connectivity.
The budget wise smartphone integrates a sleek design that flows naturally into the bezel for an easier and secure grip. It houses a 5-MP rear-facing camera and a 2-MP front snapper, offering uniquely familiar camera UX such as Gesture Shot and Flash for Selfie inherited from its G Series.
There is still no word in terms of its pricing and which mobile carriers will offer the phones, but at least fans know that LG is more than ready to focus on the low to mid-range market with its K lineup.
