Motorola Determined to Push Android 6.0 Marshmallow Update to Droid Turbo 2 Amid Software Debacles

By

Motorola is currently facing a huge wave of protests from Droid Turbo 2 owners, following the software breakdown the phone has been experiencing since the past weeks. According to reports, Motorola is determined to push the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to Droid Turbo 2 phones as soon as possible to prevent further damage that might wreck the entire company's reputation.

Motorola Droid Turbo 2 phones are expected to receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow via official over-the-air (OTA) update in February or March 2016, as a growing number of device owners have come forward to lash out about its alleged poor software performance. In community forums, the vertical green line issue has not yet been resolved in all units affected.

Accordingly, there are still some devices where the line persisted. This left many Droid Turbo 2 owners upset since even customer support of Motorola has not responded to it yet aside from the promise to solve it through a software update. One owner was even told that the green line on his device might have been caused by dropping it.

Verizon Wireless, being the sole distributor of the phone, explained that Droid Turbo 2 is shatterproof, but not shock proof. Droid Turbo 2 drew a lot of good reviews when it first came out of the mobile phone scene for its sturdy and functional design at a price that never goes beyond expectations.

Among Motorola's lineup for Marshmallow, other devices updated already are the Moto G (2015), Moto X (2015), and Moto X Pure Edition (2015). Announced up next for the update are the 2014 Moto G (2nd Gen) and 2014 Moto G with 4G LTE (2nd Gen).

Android 6.0 Marshmallow brings a variety of new features which include a new app drawer. The app drawer has been overhauled into something different; the horizontal scroll was replaced by a vertical one while it lay flat on a white background. These changes make navigation more efficient and comfortable.

Marshmallow also offers lock screen tweaks, a minimalist home screen, and so much more.
