'The Walking Dead' Season 6 Update: EP Robert Kirkman Hints More Deaths in Season 6B; Lauren Cohan Talks Maggie-Glenn Baby

By

"The Walking Dead" Season 6B premiere is just around the corner so to whet the fans' appetite, executive producer Robert Kirkman gave hints of what should be expected when the show returns. Apparently, he hinted more characters dying, saying the show needs more deaths. Lauren Cohan, the actress playing Maggie, also talked about her character's and Glenn possible baby in a recent interview.

In a report by iDigitalTimes, Kirkman appeared on "Inside the Actors Studio" where he explained that death is a necessary part of the show. He said he does not want fans to feel that their favorite character is safe from either turning into a zombie or basically dying. This is because the essence of the series will be lost if unpredictable deaths will be eliminated.

He said, "If you go too long a period with characters surviving and being safe you lose that element of 'Oh my god, these characters could go at any moment.'" He pointed out the surprise twists are what drives the show. However, he stressed that they become emotional, too, when they have to kill off someone as they also love the characters of the show.

Speaking of death, Glenn was expected to have died when he and another character were surrounded by walkers. Fortunately for his fans, he was able to survive as he crawled under a bin. However, that could change as Christian Post reported that Glenn could soon be departing the show due to the introduction of the new character, Negan.

As per comic book series, Negan is responsible for the death of Glenn but it is still unclear if the favorite Asian guy will be killed or Daryl. The other executive producers of the show, Scott Gimple, recently said in a statement that Negan is a game changer so fans should expect a lot of plot twists when the show comes back this February.

As for Lauren Cohan's hopes of her character Maggie and Glenn having a baby, she shared that it is a good idea, Melty shared. She added, "In Season 3, Maggie says to Glenn 'We're not, but if we would've been it's ok, you can't live your life in fear.' You can't avoid having the full experience that your body allows you to have, because of these zombies, basically. So yeah, I'm really excited for Maggie and Glenn to have a baby Magglenn."

"The Walking Dead" Season 6 will be coming back to AMC this February 14.
