'The Walking Dead' Season 6 News: Creator Scott Gimple Drops Spoilers For Second Half; Negan's Group Described As 'Atomic Bomb'

By

"The Walking Dead" Season 6A has left the viewers with a major cliffhanger after Daryl, Sasha, and Abraham were confronted by the men of Negan, who call themselves the Saviors. Due to this, reports have surfaced that the second half of the season will be explosive as Rick's group will fight a new rival.

In a report by Cosmic Book News, Negan, played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and his group will be the new rival of Rick's group. Creator Robert Kirkman said in a statement, "As far as shake-ups go, we have lots of shake-ups from season to season. It keeps things interesting - keeps the blood pumping, I like to say - but Negan is kind of an atomic bomb that's going to be dropped on the show and the show will probably never be the same after that. So buckle up, I guess?"

Kirkman added that Negan is sort of like Rick but a little bit geared towards a darker personality and that it will basically "the best encountering the best," International Business Times reported.

Ecumenical News also reported that showrunner Scott Gimple said that the fans will be getting the gift of chaos, terror, heartbreak, heroics, and tragedy once "The Walking Dead" Season 6 will be back this February 14. He also noted that the scariest people for the second half of the season are Rick's group but the threats against them will also be scary.

Just a recap, the fall finale of "The Walking Dead" Season 6 showed Alexandria being attacked by a horde of zombies after the walls went down. Maggie was separated from the rest of the group and it remains unclear if Glenn will be able to get in and save her. Rick is also preparing to go out and kill the zombies alongside his son and the other characters of the show.

Sasha, Abraham, and Daryl were already on their way back to Alexandria with some weapons and a new vehicle but were stopped by the Saviors. Rumor has it that Negan might kill Daryl or Glenn as per the flow of the story of the comics where "The Walking Dead" is based.

There have been no confirmations yet if a well-loved character will die in "The Walking Dead" Season 6B. The show will be coming back this Valentine's Day on AMC and fans will finally get to know more about Negan and the Saviors.
