LG K10, K7: New Affordable Smartphones With Premium Designs Unveiled

Ahead of the CES 2016, LG Electronics has announced its two smartphones: the LG K10 and K7. Both of the devices are said to sport a premium design for an affordable price.

According to Times of India, South Korean smartphone manufacturer LG has unveiled its new lineup of smartphones ahead of Consumers Electronic Show 2016. LG Electronics has introduced K10 and K7 handsets from its new line-up K series. The company stated that K Series smartphones will be the first to offer LG's glossy pebble design language, a contemporary and stylish look with a curved, modern finish design.

International Business Times added that the K series, which succeeds the popular L series, are affordable smartphones with impressive designs. These handsets are much inclined towards high-end devices.

The K series smartphones have 2.5D Arc Glass and a curved finish. The rear of both handsets has an attractive woven finish offering good grip and looking classy enough to catch the interest of younger buyers. The sides of the phones are button-free, with the volume and power buttons at the back, just below the camera module.

The LG K10 features a 5.3-inch display, 720p screen resolution and 2.5D arc glass protection. LG will apparently be offering the handset in three varieties namely White, Indigo and Gold.

As for the operating system, there is no Marshmallow yet but Android 5.1 Lollipop OS runs the device. The LG K10 is powered by a modest 2,300 mAh battery unit and be released as 4G LTE-capable or 3G-capable, depending on the market.

The LG K10 with LTE on board boasts a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera unit. The 3G variant, on the other hand is armed with an 8-megapixel sensor at the back. When it comes with the front-facing camera, either an 8-megapixel or 5-megapixel snapper will be housed depending on the region of release.

The RAM configuration options include 1 GB, 1.5 GB or 2 GB and the smartphone comes armed with either 8 GB or 16 GB of native storage space. Under the chassis, the LTE-compatible LG K10 is powered by either a 1.2 GHz or 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, or a 1.14 GHz octa-core CPU. The 3G-enabled mode will come powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor.

On the other hand, the LG K7 sports a 5.0-inch display, packed with 854 x 480 pixels screen resolution and 2.5D arc glass protection. This handset comes housed with a 2,125 mAh battery unit, 5-megapixel front-facing snapper and Android 5.1 Lollipop OS.

Other specifics of the LG K7 differ based on the region of release and whether the model is LTE or 3G-capable. The LTE model apparently comes engineered with a 1.1 GHz quad-core CPU, whereas the 3G variant utilizes a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor.

The rear-facing camera unit will be either an 8-megapixel or 5-megapixel sensor. Other region-dependent feature are the RAM configuration with either 1.5 GB or 1 GB configuration and native storage of either 8 GB or 16 GB.

The LTE K7 model will be available in Titan color while the 3G variant will have a choice of White, Black or Gold hues.

Though the specs and features of both smartphones have already surfaced, its price rate of LG K10 and K7 are yet to be announced.
