‘Baywatch’ News: Original star Pamela Anderson says she doesn’t know who replacement Kelly Rohrbach is

'Baywatch' is an upcoming comedy film based on the popular television show of the same name. The series' original star Pamela Anderson, who played CJ Parker in the '90s, said that the remake makes her feel old. Kelly Rohrbach was recently cast as the new CJ and Anderson admitted that she didn't know who the actress was.

According to UPI, Anderson couldn't help but feel her years with the newest reboot of 'Baywatch' where she starred as the iconic lifeguard CJ Parker. The 48-year old Hollywood bombshell played CJ in the long-running action-drama television series from 1992 to 1997. CJ was one of the most popular and long serving characters on the series.

Kelly Rohrbach was recently cast to replace Anderson as CJ for the new film, according to The Sun. The 26-year old swimsuit model and actress received small roles in television's 'Two and a Half Men', 'Rizzoli and Isles' and 'The New Normal'. She is also well-known as Oscar-nominee Leonardo DiCaprio's girlfriend, who she recently split with in late 2015.

Anderson said during a previous interview, "They've been talking about this for 15 years. I'll believe it when I see it. I'm not a big fan of remakes and I kind of want to leave it in the past. If it's an image of Baywatch of me, I kind of want you to remember that one."

She told E! News at Sean Penn's Help Haiti Home Benefit for J/P Pro, "I didn't think [the] movie was ever going to happen... I guess it makes me feel a little old." She also admitted that she didn't know who Rohrbach was and that she was cast as CJ. Her son Brandon Lee chimed in saying that no one can ever replace his mom's legacy as the popular lifeguard.

Throughout her career in the entertainment industry, Anderson appeared on a number of television series as well as full-feature films including 'Blonde and Blonder', 'Borat', 'Scary Movie 3', 'Scooby-Doo' and 'Barb Wire'. She was a former showgirl and was chosen Playboy's Playmate of the Month in February 1990. Since then, she has turned to supporting the animal rights movement as well as leading campaigns for veganism and the People for Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).

'Baywatch' is an upcoming remake of the action-drama television series that rose to popularity in the 1990s. The original television show featured Pamela Anderson, David Hasselhoff, Jeremy Jackson and Nicole Eggert. The reboot will be directed by Seth Gordon and stars Zac Efron, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Alexandra Daddario and Kelly Rohrbach.
