Bethesda's proposed The Elder Scrolls 6 has certainly overthrown almost any other request from the company. As the undeniable success of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has hit the masses with undeniable liking, a probable continuity to the franchise is certainly a choice and Bethesda themselves have responded to the speculations.
According to Master Herald, after a tormenting array of many speculations that talk about the possibilities of either The Elder Scrolls 6 or a Skyrim 2, Bethesda themselves started to talk about the particular expansion, directly from the mouth of the man behind it. In the past, fans of the series have believed that Bethesda's time table leads directly to the speculation that 2015 will launch the sixth installment, but all the guessing has now been put on hold.
Noted by Parent Herald, Bethesda's Pete Hines was quoted, "It's rare to have franchises like the ones we have and to have people joking about 'when is Skyrim 2 coming out?' The reason they say that is because generally speaking, that's what you'd be getting with another publisher in charge. They'd be spitting out a Skyrim 2 the year after or two years later. That's just not how we view it. We're not the sort of publisher that focuses on 'what's our 25 titles for 2015'."
Delivered by Express, the said title is presumed to even be heard of by 2019 at the earliest. This does not signify that the title will already be available then, but will most likely at least have pieces of news around it. It was also said that the game's story will not follow that of the previous, but will inhabit a place of its own; presumed to be Argonia.
The Elder Scrolls 6 is still an exciting idea for many, but until Bethesda themselves confirms its existence and any news pertaining to it, everything is to be taken as a grain of salt. Keep posted for more updates on the said title as it slowly brings itself forward to follow the existing The Elder Scrolls Online.
