Studio Wildcard's ARK: Survival Evolved is a title that has been on the receiving end of criticisms for a number of months now, especially with much talked about PC version. Now that the Xbox One version is on the hot seat, a recent and rather negative bit of news has reached the attention of the loyal fans which questions all hopes of a future continuity.
According to VG247, ARK: Survival Evolved is still the standard of a prehistoric game done right for this generation. That being said, fans expect a lot for the other platforms that the game stands especially the Xbox One. However, a recent bit of news has struck the said world, after a test for the hardware was made.
An incredible frame rate drop was recorded for ARK: Survival Evolved, stooping to an astonishing 14 frames per second (fps) mark in some areas. This is, of course, way lower than the standard expectation of a 30 frames-per-second goal and as naturally rendered, fans greatly worry about how this will work for the said version of the title.
Still, no word has come out from the end of Studio Wildcard in relation to the possible rectification of this matter, as per Game Rant and matters like such comes natural with games that are still in development.
In other related news, noted by Game Reactor, it was not so long back when a new creature was introduced in the mix. A prehistoric giant Kangaroo known as Procoptodon was added to the roster of wonderful creatures to utilize. As soon as the animal came aboard, fans have gone ecstatic over the privilege of being carried in the massive marsupial's pouch. Up to this day, gamers share their footages of raising the animal and taming it for their own use.
ARK: Survival Evolved is currently being compared to the up and coming prehistoric expansion by Ubisoft, Far Cry Primal. Though both containing series of prehistoric animals, the approach of ARK: Survival Evolved goes towards a partially futuristic aura. Keep posted for more updates on Studio Wildcard's man-and-beast masterpiece.
