The Banner Saga 2 Release Date Expected Within Q1 2016 for PS4, Xbox One Versions

By

The strategic title known as The Banner Saga has been spoken of like the legendary story that it tries to convey. After two years of being launched for some platforms, fans of the title have spoken on how the title still fares and with only so much good news preceding it, many have seen the light that the game brings to the table.

As delivered by Video Gamer, The Banner Saga is a game that developer Stoic takes so much pride in, given that not many games offer the same promise of diversity and enjoyment. Even with upcoming games such as the upcoming space explorer No Man's Sky, which is a very heavy game to go up against, The Banner Saga still stands wonderfully as it is. Now that the PlayStation 4 and Xbox versions are about to surface, the second installment is eager to come forth for the awaiting fans.

According to PlayStation Lifestyle, The Banner Saga was launched early 2014 and for the entire two years in between, fans are cordially waiting for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles. Days ago, specifically January 12th, the much-awaited hardware versions were made available but more importantly, it was also confirmed that the second installment will come to fruition within the first quarter of 2016.

Noted by Game Reactor, John Watson, from Stoic stated that the supposed hype towards the title will be well-rewarded, as The Banner Saga 2 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will be due perhaps within the month or at the latest, February through March.

Watson was quoted, "Console builds of The Banner Saga have finally passed cert and are ready for release prior to Banner Saga 2's launch, which is a relief. We've started work on console ports for The Banner Saga 2 with the hope that we can launch them alongside, or soon after, the Steam launch."

The Banner Saga 2 is expected to follow the completed lineup of the first game with a number of fixes expected to go alongside it within the first quarter of 2016. Keep posted for more news on Stoic's Viking-style strategy based series.
