'Scream Queens' Season 2 Updates: Show To Cast Four New Male Characters, Confirms Hospital as New Setting

By

"Scream Queens" Season 2 will be featuring new four male characters for the show's upcoming episodes. The show was also confirmed to have a different setting from that of the first season as the upcoming scenes will mostly be at a hospital.

In a report by E! News, the new male characters will be playing the role of the doctors for "Scream Queens" Season 2. The actors will reportedly be in their late 20s and early 30s and that the casting is currently ongoing.

Since most of the male characters in Season 1 are known, fans are speculating that the new characters will also be famous in a way. In fact, Design & Trend predicts that one of the new four male characters could be played by a popular pop star.

Murphy once said in an interview last year, "I've already started to meet [potential] cast members. I like to go after people I've always loved and never worked with before like Keke (Palmer). But Keke's now in my world and will always be in my world, but sometimes people will just write me emails and I've gotten a lot of emails."

Just a recap, the co-producer of the series, Ryan Murphy, was able to cast Patrick Schwarzenegger, Nick Jonas, Chad Michael Murray, and many more. As for the remaining Season 1 male cast members Glen Powell, Oliver Hudson, and Diego Boneta, it is unclear if they will be seen on the second season of the show. According to Christian Post, it has not been decided yet which of the characters will be back as there are still a lot of things they have to fix for the second season.

Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that "Scream Queens" Season 2 will be away from the college campus and will be moving to a new setting which is a hospital. While many are skeptical about the possible similarities the show might have to American Horror Story: Asylum due to the new environment, FOX CEO Gary Newman thinks otherwise. "I don't think it's anything like 'Asylum' which was set in a period," he teased.

Until the show returns on FOX this fall, fans can only hope which characters will return and which actors will board "Scream Queens" Season 2.
