Sony Xperia Z5 Premium at Best with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow Update; Release Update Details

Sony is purportedly pushing the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update to its Xperia Z5 phones, an update that will surely make the killer device go beyond what it can do. Amid the noise created by the imminent Marshmallow delay to some Xperia phones, the flagship device is surely off to its scheduled update.

Sony Xperia Z5 Premium phones are confirmed pursuing with the Android 6.0 and might possibly be proceeding to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow through over-the-air (OTA) update. According to reports circulating these days, Sony is allegedly charting a February release of the Marshmallow update.

However, it remains unconfirmed if the device manufacturer still has plans of updating the device to Android 5.1.1 Lollipop in the United States as units in Taiwan have been updated with such through firmware version 32.0.A.6.170. Sony did not make outright details yet nor any hint to suffice the rumors. Xperia Z5 variant that got the latest version of Lollipop has model number E6853.

Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update is set to bring in an updated emoji collection plus additions making it 200 all in all. Expressions now have unique and wide variety of options. The update is also slated to bring security fixes affecting parts of the device's system.

As seen on devices, Android 6.0 Marshmallow will take with it optimizations for the device for optimum experience.

With Android Pay, users can now make purchases online safer and easier by the use of a fingerprint supported by the software. Android Pay also expands to more payment options like Master Card, Visa, American Express, Discover and Google Pay.

Apps Permissions provides users better control of the permissions of downloaded apps. Users can allow or deny permission. Permissions are required the first time users try to use a feature, not at the point of installation.

The USB Type-C support is a notable and impressive import from Apple. This new cable supports almost all types of ports for charging tablets, phones and PCs. It can also be used on transference of data between devices.
