LG comes out anew with noise screaming after reports that T-Mobile is officially releasing anytime this month the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to its G4 smartphones. If it is not going to come out in January, the following month would be the best time for the carrier.
LG G4 under network T-Mobile is heading to Android 6.0 Marshmallow update very soon to carry with it promised features that would surely amp up the device's performance. On T-Mobile's roadmap list for Marshmallow, G4 has not yet moved from the manufacturer development stage to the testing. However, many believed that the Marshmallow update will come the soonest as spurred already by Sprint and US Cellular.
Joining the magenta carrier in the overdue bandwagon are carriers Verizon Wireless and AT&T. There have been no solid statement aside from hints coming from the carriers. Meanwhile, T-Mobile has given emphasis on four features that are truly valuable and could make G4 all the more a killer device. These include the Now on Tap, Doze, app permissions and the fingerprint support.
To check the availability of the update, users might want to do the following steps:
1. Go to Settings.
2. Tap About device.
3. Tap Update Center.
4. Tap Software Updates.
5. Follow on screen instructions.
Android 6.0 Marshmallow will come to G4 with three of the most popular additions and enhancements for the new build - a new battery saver, app drawer and a smarter app permissions.
The app drawer now has the search bar placed on top of it for easy scouring of apps and data on the device. The drawer also now operates on a vertical manner.
Doze, a power saving feature, is one of the most popular additions to Marshmallow. When phone is idle, Doze will automatically put the device into a sleep state to expand standby battery life.
Smarter app permissions lets users allow or access any permission asked by the device in the use of an app at the point of usage and not in the installation.
