'Legends of Tomorrow' Season 1 Spoilerst: Kendra Saunders as 'Hawkgirl' to appear; 'Blood Ties' airs Feb. 4

Ciara Renee joins the cast of "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 1 as Hawkgirl and Jewel Staite will guest star as Rachel Turner. Apart from that, the official plot synopsis for episode 3 has been released.

Ciara Renee officially joins the cast of the DC Comics based TV series 'Legends of Tomorrow'. Renee plays the role of Kendra Saunders also known as Hawkgirl. The broadway veteran also appeared in 4 episodes of "The Flash" and 1 season of "Arrow", Star Pulse reports.

In addition, "Firefly" alum Jewel Staite officially signs up as a guest star in "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 1. According to Comic Book, Staite will be portraying the character of Rachel Turner, a tech genius and roboticist who lives in the future where the society she resides in is very dependent on technology. The 33-year-old Canadian actress is set to make a cameo appearance in episode 10.

As for the official plot of Season 1 episode 3, We Got This Covered notes, "Leonard Snart (Wentworth Miller) visits his past; Martin Stein (Victor Garber) and Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh) team up - Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) decides to weaken Vandal Savage (Casper Crump) by going after his financial assets.

Rip and Sara Lance (Caity Lotz) infiltrate Savage's bank, but are discovered by his men. Meanwhile, Snart and Mick "Heat Wave" Rory (Dominic Purcell) talk Jefferson "Jax" Jackson (Franz Drameh) into taking the jump ship back to Central City so they can steal a valuable emerald, Professor Stein guides Ray on a dangerous mission."

"Legends of Tomorrow" Season 1 Episode 3 is entitled as "Blood Ties". The forthcoming episode is slated to premiere on February 4, 2016 at 8:00 p.m. exclusively on The CW.

"Legends of Tomorrow" is an American TV series developed by Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg, and Marc Guggenheim. The storyline serves as a spin-off of "Arrow" and "The Flash".
