Android 6.0 Marshmallow Release Update for HTC Desire 826, Desire 820, Desire 816, Desire 816G & Desire Eye

HTC will be releasing the Android 6.0 Marshmallow build to a few smartphones of the Desire series anytime soon. The upgrade comes with impressive Sense 7.0 user interface and Marshmallow's native features.

HTC Desire 826, Desire 820, Desire 816, Desire 816G and Desire Eye have been in the official Marshmallow list of the Taiwanese company and will be getting the update anytime in January until March. These devices are bound to receive a lot of optimizations in overall performance.

HTC Desire 826

The newest smartphone in the Desire series was released in March 2015, Desire 826 is confirmed skipping the Android 5.1 Lollipop to get the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update anytime in the January to March bracket. It currently has the Sense 6.0 UI and is expected to get the Sense 7.0 UI along with its perks.

HTC Desire 820

Released in November 2014, Desire 820 came out with Android 4.4.2 KitKat and is currently running on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop. You Mobile revealed that HTC has not yet decided whether or not to release the Android 5.1 Lollipop to the device. The Marshmallow upgrade might take long before the update will be rolled out to this device and if Android 5.1 will push through.

Moreover, Marshmallow is still in the development stage for the device.

HTC Desire 816 & Desire 816G

Desire 816 and Desire 816G were first released in March and October 2014, respectively, with preinstalled Android 4.4.2 KitKat. These devices are now under the development plans for Marshmallow expected to be finished in the first quarter this year. However, Android 5.1 Is also in evaluation which means if released, Marshmallow will most likely find its way to March 2015.

HTC Desire Eye

Desire Eye smartphones are confirmed for Android 6.0 in the first quarter of the year. However, Android 5.1 Lollipop is testing the device. If Android 5.1 is released, Marshmallow might be come on a later date.

Meanwhile, Android 6.0 Marshmallow will come with a redesigned app drawer, Doze, app permissions, app links, simple volume controls and a lot more.
