HTC One M9 smartphones can now be updated to the much-awaited Android 6.0 Marshmallow upgrade using the Maximum HD 7.0.0 ROM crafted by well-known Android tipster and developer, LlabTooFer. The upgrade was first revealed by the developer on Twitter and was first released in Taiwan earlier today.

According to the LlabTooFer site, the Maximum HD 7.0.0 ROM will come with Android 6.0, Doze, permissions control, Google Now on Tap, Android 6.0.1 emojis support, stability improvements, camera improvements, battery improvements, major user interface changes, updated thermal profiles, updated OEM apps and several other tweaks.

Before installing it, make sure that the device is the M9u model. If it was last updated using the Maximum HD 6.0.0, the version number should be 3.35.401.12.

Also, free up space on the device since the ROM is 1.82 GB in size. Do not forget to back up necessary files here since the installation will wipe out all stored data. Additionally, enable USB debugging option on the device.
