Chevrolet is slated to deliver its newest Chevy Bolt EV 2017 in late 2016. This electric car is expected to sport a 200-mile range and other amazing features.
Digital Trends stated on its article that it is during the CES 2016 that Chevrolet unveiled the all-new 2017 Bolt EV. This electronic car is boasting a 200-mile range that can replenish its battery to 80 percent in less than an hour with DC fast-charging. It also features a slick button less infotainment system inside.
The Bolt's price will fall around $30,000 after tax credits and the like are factored in, which is about half the cost of the cheapest incentivized Tesla. As a matter of fact, it's less than the average price of a new vehicle in the U.S. in general ($33,800) that is quite the statement for a fully-electric car with this type of range.
Additionally, Latin Post cited other specifications that are present in the Chevy Bolt EV 2017. This electronic vehicle has a maximum speed of more than 90 miles per hour with an expected output of about 150 hp and 300 lb-ft of torque, as well as a speculated 40 kWh motor.
The Bolt EV 2017 is expected to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in seven seconds just like the BMW i3 and Chevy Spark EV. The battery takes 45 minutes to recharge from 0 to 80 percent, with higher charging powers than the Chademo DC charger.
The exterior arrangement is made of aluminum, carbon fiber and mineral magnesium and the design is mostly based on the 2016 version. The front of the vehicle sports a vertical bumper, a slender grille and LED headlights while its rear has a C-pillar with a floating roof design.
When it comes to the interior of the car, it has a 10.2-inch LCD touchscreen located in the middle of the dashboard. These include entertainment features and technical displays for battery state, miles travelled and the miles left in its range. It also has a keyless ignition feature where an app is used to start the car and drive the vehicle in and out of a garage.
CNET added that the Chevy Bolt has a totally new version of Chevy's MyLink that supports both Android Auto and Apple's CarPlay.
The most interesting about it, however, is the customizable the system. The home screen basically looks a lot like Android -completely widget-based, and can be personalized by every driver. As the owner's phone connects to the car, the system recognizes them and loads up their settings. It'll even remember what they were listening last.
The Chevrolet Bolt EV 2017 goes into manufacture before the end of the year. It is expected to be obtainable nationwide soon after.
