Android 6.0 Marshmallow Update Official List For Xiaomi, Lenovo, Huawei, Asus, OnePlus, BlackBerry, And Android One

The latest operating system, Android 6.0 Marshmallow, will be launched by different brands like Xiaomi, Huawei, OnePlus, Android One, BlackBerry, Lenovo and Asus to its respective handsets from the start of this year. An official roster that surfaced online has revealed the names of the gadgets from the aforementioned smartphone makers that will obtain the Android 6.0 upgrade soon.

International Business Times cited the Xiaomi handsets that are entitled to get the Android M update. The Xiaomi Mi Note 2, Redmi 2, Redmi 2 Prime and Mi 4i from 2015 are the first devices from the Chinese tech company to get Android 6.0 from the start of 2016. The upgrade will also come for 2014 devices like Xiaomi Mi 4, Mi Note and Mi Note Pro.

Huawei will also bring Android M update to several devices from 2015 such as Ascend P8, Ascend P8 Max, Ascend G8, Mate S, Honor 6 Plus, Honor 7, Honor 7i and MediaPad X2. It will also reach the 2014 Huawei devices like Huawei Mate 7, Honor 6, Mate 7, Honor 4X, Honor 4C and Ascend G7.

As for the OnePlus smartphones, the OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X users will be the first ones to obtain Android 6.0 update. It will also be made available for OnePlus One users.

Additionally, several Android One devices that arrived last year will soon be running on Android 6.0 OS. The Micromax Canvas A1, Karbonn Sparkle V, Spice Dream Uno, Symphony Roar A50, Cherry Mobile One, MyPhone Uno, Mito Impact A10 and Nexian Journey One handsets will be upgraded to Android 6.0 according to the leaked list.

For BlackBerry, the company will be releasing Android 6.0 upgrade for its BlackBerry Priv from the start of 2016.

Lenovo will also be releasing Android 6.0 upgrade for its well-received handsets from 2015. The firmware will be rolling out soon for K3 Note, A7000 Plus, A7000, Vibe S1 and Vibe P1. The junior product of the company, ZUK Z1 is also lucky as it is destined to receive Android M update.

When it comes to Asus, the ZenFone 2 series, ZenFone 2 Laser, ZenFone 2 Deluxe, ZenFone Selfie, ZenFone Go and Asus Padfone S will be the first set of devices to receive Android 6.0 upgrade from the beginning of this year.

Meanwhile, Bitbag stated on its article that the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update will take along enhanced app permissions, modified app drawer, support for fingerprint scanner technology, USB Type-C and Android Pay and greater volume controls.

With the official roster surfacing online, users may now be at ease knowing the list of handsets that will get the new operating system. But with no specific schedule of the release, owners of the aforementioned handsets should keep an eye for further announcements.
