The Android 6.0 Marshmallow has been out for months now and the first handsets to receive and experience the update are the Google Nexus devices. Now, the HTC One M9 and One M8 under U.S major carriers are already slated to obtain the newest update from the biggest search engine company.
According to Gospel Herald, HTC has made some assurance to get its users the latest operating system before 2015 ends. As of the moment, this is what is known about Android M Version 6.0 Marshmallow Release Date for HTC One M9, M8, and M7 for carriers like Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile, US Cellular, and AT&T.
The promise from HTC would be that both the HTC One M9 and the One M8 would obtain the update for Android 6.0 sometime before 2015 ends. But it seems like that Android 6.0 is leaking out there, as Mo Versi, the VP of Product Management at HTC, is re-tweeting some downloads. Both of them are about the OS update to Android 6.0 and how to update to it. It also includes the duration of the update which was revealed to be 60 minutes.
Furthermore, there are other HTC handsets that are bound to receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. These include the HTC One M9+, HTC One E9+, HTC One E9, HTC One ME, HTC One E8, HTC One M8 Eye, HTC Butterfly 3, HTC Desire 826, HTC Desire 820, and HTC Desire 816.
Meanwhile, International Business Times reported that HTC One A9 is the first non-Nexus handset to arrive pre-installed with Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. It is expected that the Android 6.0.1 update for HTC One A9 users will only cary a minor upgrade compared to the original release. This update will bring bug fixes and over 200 emojis to the devices.
Additionally, a leaked roadmap of Android 6.0 roll out has revealed that the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update will be hitting the HTC One M9 handsets in the first quarter of 2016. The Android 6.0 update for HTC One M9 and One A9 is expected to bring along the latest Sense 7.0 UI from HTC.
As HTC stated before, the official Android rollout is for about three months. This indicates that the Taiwanese company is still within their limits to bring out the Android 6.0 to the HTC One M9 and M8 in Q1 2016 to keep its promise to the company's patrons.
