Samsung has released a beta version of Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for Samsung Galaxy S6 in UK. The said update brought huge visual change in the application icons of the handset and other enhancements on the device.
According to Master Herald, the major visual change that the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update would carry in is the way Samsung would be presenting the application icons. Each application is flat instead of a shadowed image from the present operating system. Samsung has restructured a few of its own icons, too, and shall also be introducing the option to download new themes based on color.
The status bar and quick toggle menus have all been improved by the South Korean tech company as well in an all-white design. Samsung has modernized the power menu with a minimal style and added a new shutter speed option to the Pro mode in its camera app.
Tech Times added that the update also carries several new Google features such as Google Now on Tap, advanced permission management systems for apps and the Doze mode to save battery.
The Android 6.0 Marshmallow beta update for the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge would possibly bring tweaks that are under the chassis. But the image gallery that has been leaked online did not give any indication if features such as multi-window support are now available on the smartphone.
As for the release of the Android 6.0 Marshmallow, Gospel Herald reported that the Galaxy S6 Edge+ will obtain the update on the first phase. The Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge would probably receive its Android update by January 2016.
Now that the beta version of Android 6.0 Marshmallow has been released in the UK, its official version might follow suit soon. With this, users of the Samsung Galaxy S6 handsets will experience huge changes especially when it comes to the visual.
