The long and most-awaited sequel of the heartwarming yet amusing film Finding Nemo is anticipated to be released on June 17 this year. The next film entitled Finding Dory revolves around the journey of Dory in finding her parents. The famous TV show host Ellen DeGeneres will be dubbing the character of the adorable blue reef fish.
For this movie sequel, it seems like Dory will be accompanied by new two aquatic friends. Based on Entertainment Weekly, the forgetful blue fish will meet a Burrell's snub-nosed beluga whale and a whale shark at a rehabilitation center for marine life. Her new two friends are named Bailey and Destiny respectively and they are expected to bring more entertainment in the film as they help Dory in looking for her parents. Bailey will be voiced by Ty Burrell and Kaitlin Olson is the artist behind Destiny.
Aside from the two new-found friends of Dory, of course it is to expect that the audience's favorite father-and-son tandem will be back, Marlin and Nemo. Apart from that, according to Gospel Herald, other characters who will be seen in the sequel include Diane Keaton as Jenny, Ed O'Neill as Hank and Eugene Levy as Charlie. However, Gospel Herald takes note that Disney/Pixar is not revealing much of who will appear in Finding Dory as many are wondering if most of the characters from Finding Nemo will be back.
Furthermore, Gospel Herald comments that it seems like the film is taking a different path than its first movie. The website notes that it looks like Finding Dory might be focusing on the disability of its characters. As everyone knows that Dory is experiencing a short-term memory loss while the new two characters have their own deficiencies too: Bailey having a defective sonar and Destiny who cannot swim straight. So is Disney/Pixar hinting the public about what the film will be about?
Moreover, The Bit Bag states that there will be some arguments in the interactions of Bailey and Destiny along the way. This is anticipated to make more the movie adorable and entertaining.
