The China-based company Letv will enter the market shelves of the second largest market, India. The company will hold an event on January 5 to introduce its products in the country.
According to Android Headlines, Letv has been around for quite some time now, but the company hasn't been involved in the smartphone market before April this year. It has presented three devices as part of their Le Superphone line in April, and the Chinese company has managed to peek in the consumer's interest. These three gadgets have had limited availability, but Letv will most likely start selling them in more markets, including the U.S., soon.
The Letv's new Virtual Reality headset supports interpupillary distance, and it also sports an adjustable diopter mechanism. The company has also added its Ecosystem User Interface (EUI) into this package, with an optimization for VR applications. This gives reason why buyers need to have the Le 1 or Le 1 Pro handset.
Apart from those, the headset also features a PMMA-based aspherical lens, an imported optical coating, and a 'spline interpolating algorithm'. It is noted to expand user's multi-sensory experience and offer them far better immersion.
Meanwhile, PC-Tablet reported that Letv's upcoming Lemax and Le1s smartphones will be engineered with Qualcomm Snapdragon and MediaTek Helios X10. Based on some sources, the smartphones will provide great speed and stunning graphics in addition to excellent connectivity.
Furthermore, the new handsets will also have a capability to provide long battery life. The new Mediatek processor is believed to boost the performance of the devices by 10% and will provide superior 3D gaming experience to users.
The much awaited Lemax and Le1s range of smartphones will be armed with high quality RAM to ensure zero lag operation even during extreme multi-tasking. The handsets are speculated to be available in 3GB and 4GB variants of RAM as well as 32GB of internal storage.
The upcoming Letv smartphones are believed to include either FHD or WQHD with high pixel density, which are said to give sharp images and vibrant colors. These will also be bundled with a finger print sensor to provide one touch access to various services. The company has dubbed the technology as LeTouch.
Additionally, The Econimic Times added that Letv Associate Director Digital Marketing Ivan Wang mentioned India as a key top priority market for the company. It reportedly aims to match the product launches in India with that of global launches.
LeTV is one of the many Chinese companies to come into the Indian market recently. In the past two years, a slew of companies like Xiaomi, OnePlus, QiKU, Coolpad and Meizu have entered the Indian market. Handset makers are observing to tap the multi-billion dollar opportunity in India, which is one of the fastest growing smartphone markets in the world. Thd China-based company is also expected to reach the U.S market soon.
