Motorola Moto X Pure Edition on T-Mobile Nears Android 6.0 Marshmallow Update

By

Android 6.0 Marshmallow update is now expected to roll out to Motorola Moto X Pure Edition (2015) units of T-Mobile, following the same update being released to similar phones under Sprint, US Cellular and Verizon Wireless. The official over-the-air (OTA) is slated to come before January comes to an end.

Motorola Moto X Pure Edition (2015) devices on T-Mobile are expected to receive the official OTA update of Android 6.0 Marshmallow software this month, as other big mobile carriers in the United States have already updated theirs. Although, the magenta has not included the device in its track list for Marshmallow updates, some reports pointed that it would not take too long for T-Mobile's units to get the biggest software upgrade in Android history.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow update will bring a host of new features and enhancements to the device like a redesigned app drawer, new status bar, USB Type-C support, custom Chrome tabs, Android Pay support, fingerprint support, Doze, new app permissions, among others.

Apps Permissions give device owners more convenient management of the permissions of downloaded apps. Owners are endowed with choices, either to allow or deny permissions. Apps Permissions are mandatory to all first time users of the feature, not at the point of installation.

The new app drawer sports an all-new design ditching horizontal scrolls while replacing with vertical ones. The background is white to create a stark contrast with the scrolls. The improved app drawer shows four most recently used apps across the top of the menu.

Google Now becomes more intuitive and smarter than ever. It now has various range of contexts and answers, not to mention it also suggests actions to undertake.

Doze is a new battery saving feature that devises motion sensors to manage the device's power, especially when idle. It eliminates background processes and starts alarms and informs owners of priority notifications.
