Jennifer Lawrence and Christ Pratt would be starring in the new film Passengers. The newest big budget sci-fi film will be directed by Imitation Game director Morten Tyldum. Versions of the script have been leaked on the internet for years now, but few details about the film has already been confirmed.

Since 2007, various stars and companies have been attached to the film Passengers. In 2011, the project was supposed to be with Universal, and Emily Blunt and Keanu Reeves were reportedly signed up to take the leading roles as Aurora and Jim. Reports also tells us that Reeves was supposed to produce the film. Even stars like Reese Witherspoon and Rachel McAdams were also previously linked to the female lead role. There has been a lot of changes made as the film progresses.

However, official interesting synopsis for Passengers, reads as follows:

"A spacecraft is transporting thousands of people to a distant colony planet that has a malfunction in one of its sleep chambers. As a result, a single passenger is awakened 90 years before anyone else. Faced with the prospect of growing old and dying alone, he eventually decides to wake up a second passenger."

Passenger's story line is actually based on a book of the same title. A third passenger involved in the film will play a very important role. As reports say, the third passenger will be played by Michael Sheen.

The version of the script may also include Jim and Aurora make love in the wide, bed, satin sheets tangled around them, a starry tapestry outside the window. Lawrence then revealed that shooting the scene was a 'bizarre' experience for her. She got drunk in order to film it and called her mom after.

The Hollywood Reporter says that Lawrence will be paid $20 million for the film, along with a 30 per cent share of the profits once it breaks even, while poor Pratt is "only" getting $12 million.

The projected budget for the film is yet to be released, by all accounts Passengers is going to be a major blockbuster-type film.

Passengers is set in space, on a gigantic passenger-carrying space ship, fans all over the world are expecting to be treated with impressive effects, set, and visual designs. Are you okay with Pratt and Lawrence replacing Reeves and Blunt? Can Passengers live up to the hype?
