Bloomberg said shareholder advisory firms Institutional Shareholder Services Inc and Glass Lewis & Co are calling out on how Wal-Mart Stores Inc had been handling allegations of corporate bribery in its overseas stores and its executive compensation.

In his case summary today at a London court, attorney Timonthy Langdale for defendant Andy Coulson shifted the blame on the prosecution for not presenting real evidence to deem that the former editor was guilty of wrongdoing, Bloomberg reported.

The Federal Trade Commission yesterday recommended in a report that lawmakers should consider enacting measures that would allow consumers to have access to information obtained by data brokers, Bloomberg said.
