Autopsies reveal that a 35-year-old mother, Stephanie Shields, took her own life after allegedly drowning her two young children, ages 6 and 7 on Easter Day. Police in Zimmerman, Minnesota ruled that the deaths of Shields, 35 and her children Nolan and Josephine were made fowllowing autopsies, and that there are no further suspects being sought.

A new lawsuit filed against media mogul and syndicated columnist Arianna Huffington claims she left her expensive and spacious Chelsea neighborhood loft in Manhattan totaled, after the two years she rented the apartment. Documentary filmmaker Eric Steel, whose architect stepfather Charles Gwathmey custom-designed the pad filed the suit. Huffington has vehemently denied all charges. The lawsuit asks for $275,000 in damages.

Six New York politicians were arrested for their alleged role in a bribery scandal in which Democrat State Senator Malcolm Smith, paid top Republicans for permission to run on their ticket in the city's upcoming mayoral race, prosecutors said.
