8-year-old Leila Fowler's stabbing murder two weeks ago led to a massive manhunt. It turns out, authorities said that the leading suspect is her 12-year-old brother.
Kathleen Dorsett, the 38-year-old former third-grade teacher and her parents pleaded guilty on Thursday to working together in an effort to kill her ex-husband, in a convoluted murder plot executed by her father Thomas. They also attempted to murder his mother. The father and daughter told a judge they were angry about the divorce decree and custody arrangements for the couple's daughter, who was 20 months old.
An Arizona jury Wednesday found Jodi Arias guilty of first-degree murder for killing Travis Alexander in June 2008, CNN reported. The conviction means Arias could face the death penalty. In the next phase of the case, prosecutors will have a chance to present additional evidence and jurors to decide whether Alexander's death was caused in a cruel manner.
Authorities were investigating the bodies of two adult men and one woman whose bodies were found on a rural property in an eastern Kansas. Friends of the residents called police to report a foul site at the site.
