Czech Officials warned that Dahlgren was "dangerous and possibly armed." After a blaze broke out in the home, the bodies of a couple and their sons were discovered overnight, as a a local ukulele band told the Associated Press that two of its members were among the victims.

Rescuers who tackled the blazed realized instantaneously that "a violent crime had likely been committed there," according to Jaroslav Mikoska, a spokesman for the firefighters said. The fire did not badly damage the house.
Dahlgren's Facebook profile matched what Brno Police spokesman's Petra Vedrova photo and description of a man from Palo Alto, California who had been living in the small Czech town. His Facebook page contained a link to the Czech band, which two of the victims were reportedly a part of, as well.
"As far as we know he came for a visit," Ivana Pohankova, a neighbor said. "Such a tragedy, they were so young. We did hear anything but a neighbor came to say there was smoke coming from the house. That's how they discovered it," she added.
Jan Fiala, another neighbor, told a Czech broadcaster that he met Dahlgren, and that "he looked absolutely fine and kept smiling. He said he didn't like the western world, that life in America is too fast while people here are more placid."
The manhunt continues for Dahlgren, as of Thursday evening.
