Ten California teachers have sued a labor union, saying that they are being forced to pay dues even when they don't support the union. The teachers ask the court to allow public sector employees to opt out of paying such fees. The case goes before the U.S. Supreme Court on Jan 11.

Various websites were hacked by Anonymous. The cyber group led the attact as a sign of protest for the verdict against two Myanmar migrant workers.

The accounting giant, PwC, agreed to pay $55 million to settle claims by the victims of Bernard Madoff's Ponzi scheme. PwC is alleged to fail to audit properly the books of Fairfield Greenwich Group, the biggest operator of Madoff's feeder funds.
