David Sweat, the convicted killer and escapee was given maximum penalty by the Clinton County Court. After the hearing, Sweat apologized for the fear and trauma he caused to the community.

A lawsuit was filed in the US against German's Deutsche Bank. Failure of the bank to monitor its investors loss led to the filing of this case by Belgium Royal Park Investment.

Wells Fargo is set to pay $1.2 billion to settle the case claiming reckless lending practices during a program by the Federal Housing Administration. It is expected to affect the bank's 2015 expenses and reduce their profit. The settlement is set to be forwarded to the Justice Department.
