The US Supreme Court will listen to the opposition to Obama's plan to protect over 4 million undocumented immigrants living in the US, by providing work permits to these immigrants. Twenty-five states along with the House of Representatives, Texas are opposing the president's policy.

UBS AG has agreed to pay $69.8 million to NCUA in settling a lawsuit centering selling of faulty residential mortgage based securities. Prior to that, Royal Bank of Scotland, Barclays, Wachovia, Morgan Stanley and other accused financial institutions have also settled respective lawsuits with NCUA. However, all the settlements have taken place through realization of incurred losses from the faulty RMBS products.

Tata Consultancy Services, an India-based IT company, was penalised $940 million in a case suit filed by Epic Systems, a healthcare software firm. Besides, a disciplinary fine of $700 million, the jury also ordered TCS to pay a $240 million to Epic.
