Liam Hemsworth acquires new property in Malibu; Miley Cyrus sparks controversy after showing off five-foot tall bong made of fans’ gifts

"The Hunger Games" trilogy star Liam Hemsworth has recently acquired a new property in Malibu, California, spending approximately $7 million for his new home, Variety reported.

The 24-year-old Australian actor and former fiancée Miley Cyrus previously lived together in a house in Los Angeles, California. However, after their controversial breakup last September 2013, Hemsworth decided to move out.

Citing reports from the outlet, Hemsworth shelled out a whopping $6.8 million to buy the 7.5 acre home located at the north of Santa Monica, in the sought-after beach town of Malibu.

The hunk's newly acquired residence will greet its visitors with a long drive past its entrance, which will cross a creek. The house also features an outdoor area with a concrete barn, a swimming pool, a "detached writing studio," and a professional recording studio.

The property is a sprawling 1980 sq ft that exhibits a ranch-style atmosphere with a touch of "modern-organic" interior. It showcases an enormous entrance gallery that combines both living and dining rooms. The floors are made with reclaimed wood, while the walls are composed of multi-paned windows and doors.

Prior to his Hollywood life, at the age of 17, Hemsworth launched his acting career after landing a pivotal role in a soap opera in Australia entitle "Neighbours."

Meanwhile, as Liam Hemsworth is having the time of his life in his new home, his controversial ex-girlfriend Miley Cyrus is once more creating an outrage on the internet, told KpopStarz.

Parents of Cyrus's fans are enraged after the singer proudly shared a video of her five-foot tall bong made out of gifts from fans through her official accounts in social networking sites Instagram and Twitter.

"5 foot bong almost complete. This one is a collab with my fucking beyond kiewl fanz," the caption read.

The former Disney superstar has recently confronted complaints for exhibiting "unusal" behavior during her Bangerz Tour, which was aired early this summer on NBC. KpopStars said that the FCC is currently investigating this matter.

Hemsworth and Cyrus were previously engaged and spent a total of three years together before their split last year.
