‘Sons of Anarchy’ Season 7 Spoiler: Will Jax fully embrace his ‘dark side’?

By

The premiere of the seventh and final season of FX's action-drama series "Sons of Anarchy" will definitely exhibit a lot of action, as Jax Teller (Charlie Hunnam) is determined to personally take vengeance on Tara's (Maggie Siff) killer.

Citing reports from this year's Comic-Con in San Diego, TV Guide said the biker drama's pilot episode would be showing Jax engaged in a huge brawl with his fellow inmates. But that is just the beginning for the rider-turned-outlaw, as Jax would be also seen out of prison, presumably to hunt down the person who killed his wife. Oblivious to the truth that it was his mother Gemma (Katey Segal) who killed Tara, Jax will immediately hunt down Tara's murderer, causing him to be in fist fights with a lot of people.

"Sons of Anarchy" creator Kurt Sutter, who was part of the show's panel for Comic-Con, teased that he wrote a completely different Jax for the final season. Would this mean that the resident do-gooder would now be behaving bad in the upcoming season?

Deadline.com quoted Sutter, "This season will be the most proactive for Jax. He's driven, with a singular purpose. Rather than being the reactor to chaos, (Jax) is the inciter of chaos."

Despite not being able to attend the recently concluded Comic-Con, Charlie Hunnam was quoted by TVGuide about his character development in the showin its final season.

Hunnam said, "Jax was always so tortured by the pull of who he thought he should be. There's something really liberating about being rid of the sense of having to be a good guy. This is about Jax deciding, if he's got no reason to leave [the outlaw world], he may as well be what this world demands you be."

Aside from potentially exacting revenge on his own mother, a now darker and colder Jax will also burn bridges with former formidable ally and father figure Nero Padilla (Jimmy Smits). MTV.com, who was at the scene at Comic-Con, reported that Nero would be betraying Jax and the Sons by joining forces with the Mayans. Moreover, Dailymail.co.uk recently released a set of photos showing intense fight scenes between Hunnam and Jimmy Smits. This hinted an impending fiery confrontation between Jax and Nero in the upcoming season.

Season 7 of 'Sons of Anarchy' is set to premiere on September 9, 10 pm on FX.
