Paramount Pictures has yet to confirm if the upcoming sequel of "Terminator" film will be present at at this year's Comic-Con in San Diego, Venture Capital Post reported. With very little presence and updates about the movie, the fans are starting to demand for updates given the fact that the movie is slated to be released in just a year.
Variety reasoned that the scarce marketing of the upcoming "Terminator" sequel may be because of its lead stars' busy schedules. Arnold Schwarzenegger is reportedly spending more time promoting his other movie,"The Expendables 3," while co-star Emilia Clarke has been tied up in fictional Meereen as the platinum-haired "Mother of Dragons" Daenerys Targaryen in the hit HBO series "Game of Thrones." On the other hand, the entertainment news site suggested that the actors might do a surprise promotional appearance for "Terminator 5" at SDCC.
As to whether filming for "Terminator 5" has been done, a fan site claimed that Schwarzenegger himself is almost finished shooting his scenes for the fifth installment. Moreover, rumor is also rife that the veteran actor will be able to finish filming his part in "Terminator 5" by the end of July. On the other hand, it remains unclear whether Schwarzenegger already finished the film just in time for Comic-Con or if he is simply having a break for the event.
If producers of the robot apocalypse film franchise would be too kind to fans, SDCC would be the perfect venue to boot to debut updates of the upcoming film. As to the film's storyline, KPopstarz quoted the Gov himself, who said that moviegoers will be introduced to not just one, but two T-800 robots. One of the robot will be controlled by Skynet, while the other one will be reprogrammed and will appear later in the movie.
"Terminator 5" is expected to hit theaters on July 1st next year.
