Olympian Bruce Jenner has been making headlines lately reports of him considering sex change surgery. For months now, rumors have hounded the 64 year-old star, who is said to be planning to undergo gender reassignment.
HollywoodLife cited a Star Magazine report, which revealed that he allegedly reached out to his friend, Renee Richards, who is a transgender rights advocate, for advice about the matter. Back in February, Jenner underwent chondrolaryngoplasty, which a procedure that involves surgically shaving off a man's Adam's apple. The Adam's apple in men are usually more protruding as compared to the women's. It has been said that the procedure is usually the first step in gender reassignment surgery. There was proof that Jenner did had the surgery, as he was photographed leaving Beverly Hills Surgical Center, for a reported "laryngeal shave."
In a June 15 episode of the Kardashian-Jenner clan's reality show "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," Jenner was seen getting his hair touched up at his stepdaughter Khloe's house. The hair color chosen by the Jenner patriarch was very similar to the color sported on by the Kardashian women.
Bruce allegedly has also picked out a name in case he pushes through with the surgery. It was said that Jenner favored the name "Bridgitte," should he go through with the surgery, the Hollywood Gossip said.
On the other hand, all of Jenner's latest antics might have been because he is not taking the split. In October last year, it has been confirmed that Jenner and his wife Kris would be separating after two decades of being husband and wife.
"We are living separately and we are much happier this way. But we will always have much love and respect for each other. Even though we are separated, we will always remain best friends and, as always, our family will remain our number one priority," the statement released by the couple read.
Meanwhile, a source told HollywoodLife that the separation has somewhat pushed Bruce's plan to fruition.
"Bruce looks back at his past fondly, but he is doing what he is doing with his facial surgeries and other changes because he is interested in his future. And that future is to be as close to a woman as possible. It's embarrassing to the family, he knows that, but he has to live his life, not Kris's life anymore," the source revealed.
The Olympian star, however, does not seem stressed about the issue. He continues tol remain quiet about the matter.
