'Keeping up with the Kardashians' Update: Scott Disick hospitalized with alcohol poisoning; Parents' death to blame?

By

Coping with the loss of one parent is hard - and even more so when you lose another in just a span of a few months. This is exactly what's happening to Scott Disick, reality TV personality and the partner of Kourtney Kardashian.

TMZ recently said that Disick binged on alcohol at an event at The Hamptons last month that he had to be treated in the hospital for alcohol poisoning. While Disick had some trouble in the past with alcohol, could this recent trip to the hospital be the cause of something a lot more serious - the recent deaths of his parents?

Radar Online reported that Disick's mother, Bonnie, had passed away last October, while his dad, Jeffrey, followed just a few months later. In an exclusive interview with Radar Online, Disick's aunt from his father's side, Audrey Martone explained that, "Scott lost both parents in a very short period of time, and I think being without them right now is a sad reminder." She also added, "I feel for him and I try to give him the benefit of the doubt. Everyone has their own way of grieving, and I respect that."

While the new series, Kourtney & Khloe Take The Hamptons is being filmed near Disick's hometown of Eastport in New York, Martone also said that she had not heard from her nephew since Jeffreys' funeral in January. She also added in the Radar Online interview that she was not aware of the alcohol poisoning incident and only found out through someone at work.

Martone is also worried that the filming of the new reality TV series could trigger painful memories for Disick. She said in the same interview, "They're out in an area of Long Island where there are reminders of his parents. He might need some time to heal."

People also said that Disick's hospitalization was his wake up call and that he has gone through counselling with Pastor Rich Wilkerson Jr., the Miami pastor who officiated Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's wedding.
