Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow reveals San Diego Comic Con teaser poster for new film

Fans of the "Jurassic Park" film franchise were treated to another sneak peak at the new "Jurassic World" San Diego Comic Con teaser poster that was tweeted last July 21 by the film's director, Colin Trevorrow.

Trevorrow wrote, "Exclusive Jurassic World art from @MarkEnglert available at SDCC to a resourceful few."

The poster depicts a velociraptor perched atop a crushed Ford Explorer, where the raptor had built its nest, and the skyline in the background shows the new park being built on the setting of the first film in the fictional Isla Nublar, which was the birthplace of the genetically-engineered dinosaurs in the original film.

The poster's artist, Mark Englert, also dropped hints on his blog as to how fans can get their paws on a copy of the poster. The print, which is sized 24x36, was printed by Martin Hammond at Diamond HIll and that there are 500 copies of the poster to be given away to fans. He hinted, "Text JURASSIC to 834567 for updates on when and where to pick up the poster at SDCC. It also may be a good idea to follow @JurassicPark on Twitter and @JurassicWorld on Instagram."

In an exclusive interview with SlashFilm, Trevorrow briefly talked about the plot of "Jurassic World". He said, "Jurassic World takes place in a fully functional park on Isla Nublar. It sees more than 20,000 visitors a day. You arrive by ferry from Costa Rica. It has elements of a biological preserve, a safari, a zoo, and a theme park. There is a luxury resort with hotels, restaurants, nightlife and a golf course. And there are dinosaurs. Real ones. You can get closer to them than you ever imagined possible. It's the realization of John Hammond's dream, and I think you'll want to go there."

Trevorrow also added that "Jurassic World" would take 22 years after the first Jurassic Park film, and will give a preview on how Isla Nubar's commercialization.

The film, which is slated for release on June 12, 2015, is written also by the film's director together with Derek Connolly, Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver. It will star "Guardians of the Galaxy" hunk Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Jake Johnson, Ty Simpkins, Vincent D'Onofrio and Irffan Khan. B.D. Wong would be reprising his role from the original Jurassic Park film.
