As movie heartthrob Chris Hemsworth is scheduled to make his big screen comeback next year in Avengers: Age of Ultron, reports about the next movie franchise of Marvel's "Thor" incessantly flood the internet. Viewers are wondering if the third installment of the film will feature Loki after surviving his supposed tragic demise in "The Dark World" or will it shift to another storyline.
In an interview with ScreenRant, the 30-year-old actor Chris Hemsworth hinted on a more devastating tone might take over the forthcoming franchise of the movie.
"I think what's good about this is that each time, with the Avengers, we sort of made it difficult to separate them each time there's some sort of conflict it's like where's the rest of the team? And I liked that Thor has another universe or the universe to sort of take care of and keep him occupied," the Australian actor opened up to ScreenRant reporter.
Albeit the script for the third franchise has yet to be finalized, Hemsworth said that the Armageddon, end-of-days storyline in which the comic book has featured will most likely be the direction that the movie will head to.
"I think that in the comic book the sort of end of days, Armageddon aspect is probably the direction in which it will all head in," Hemsworth added during the same interview. "Where it's sort of the end of all things and there's obviously no script or anything when I read the comic books I thought it was an interesting way to go."
Hemsworth continued and talked about Ragnarok, the cyber clone of Thor who possess all the powers of the Asgardian god, who is said to bring apocalypse on Asgard.
Another report from ScreenRant also suggests that "Thor" executive producer Craig Kyle also hinted on a similar idea after describing the Tree of Yggdrasil which appeared in "Thor: The Darl World."
Release date of the third installment of Thor remains to be unavailable. However, reports suggest that it is one of Marvel's untitled projects to come in either 2016 or 2017.
