"Bones" will return on-screen this fall with all-new Season 10; Booth still in jail

By

The eager waiting of Bones fans will soon be over as the Season 10 of the television series is set to make a comeback on-screen this fall. Booth is still in jail and is awaiting trial of the murders of the FBI agents who attacked his home.

Season 9 ended with FBI agent Booth wounded after he took on a team of masked men who invaded his home. Though he was able to escape, his home that he shared with Brennan was destroyed and he lost his job and was placed under arrest.

After the explosive ending, Bones Season 10 will most likely be picking up about three months after the events of the previous season's finale.

Executive producers Stephen Nathan and Jonathan Collier shared plenty of hints in an interview published on GiveMeMyRemote.com.

According to Nathan, the season will open with Booth still in jail, awaiting trial for the murders of the FBI agents that invaded his home. Collier added that this will be a difficult situation for Booth. His enormous faith in the government and in the system will be put to a test.

Meanwhile, Brennan and the other people in the lab will be able to put together a scenario that makes logical sense after three months of combing through all the information they had gathered. They will be able to realize that there is more to the conspiracy theories that they initially thought.

Good news, though, is that Booth and Brennan will not be splitting up and there is going to be no affair for this season. However, Booth's imprisonment will have a great effect on their marriage. They will face challenges that will put stress, not only to their career, but to their relationship as well. This will cause them to reevaluate how they want to live their lives together.

In fact, according to Nathan, this year will be a year of reevaluation for everybody.

"We know what our job is, what our task is here: it's righting wrongs, and finding killers, and we don't want to go on and change that. But they will still be dealing with the trauma of the end of season 9. They will be dealing with issues of trust, issues of belief in a system they devoted their lives to. In an odd way, for Booth, patriotism is almost PTSD in a different form. In a non-warlike form. It will affect them. It will legislate how their lives play out and evolve," said Nathan.

Bones Season 10 is set to premiere on September 25, Thursday at 8 pm on Fox.
