"Arrow" Season 3 will return to the screen this October; Oliver-Felicity story to blossom

Fans of the hero in the green hood are in for a treat as an all-new season for Arrow will be premiered in a few months time.

Oliver Queen, Starling City's very own vigilante, will return to the screen as a hero hailed by the citizens of the city after crimes went down and the people now feel safer. Captain Lance will even call off the Anti-Vigilante Task Force. This also comes with news of possible romance between him and Felicity.

Executive Producer Marc Guggenheim shared with Zap2it some teasers on what will happen for this season.

According to him, Season 3 will be an exact opposite of the last season when Oliver was more of a self-imposed exile. This season will driven by a new mystery, much like the Undertaking and the notebook during Season 1.

"This year we want to bring back the sense of mystery. So this season we have a big humdinger of a mystery, and that's going to be a through-line throughout the year," revealed Guggenheim.

In this season, viewers can also get to see the blossoming relationship of Oliver Queen with Felicity. After he told Felicity that he loved her last season, fans could expect the hero in the green hood to express his feelings to her in this upcoming season. A date could even be expected from the two.

However, Oliver should not sit on his laurels as a possible wave may hit his love affair with Felicity. According to International Business Times, show writer Andrew Kreisberg shared that the show will introduce the role of Ray Palmer, to be played by Brandon Rough, who may also be a possible love interest for Felicity.

Palmer, according to Kreisberg, will have a same personality with Felicity: energetic and fun-loving. Will he be a threat to Oliver or a trigger for him to be more expressive in his declarations of love?

Watch as the story of Olicity unfolds in the upcoming season Arrow. Season 3 premieres on October 8, Wednesday, at 8 pm.
