New details have emerged that two Kansas mothers, whose bodies were found in a freezer in Oklahoma, were allegedly stabbed to death by members of 'God's Misfits.'
Between April and May, five suspects linked to a disturbing antigovernmental religious group known as 'God's Misfits' were arrested in connection to Veronica Butler's, 27, and Jillian Kelley's, 39, murder after they disappeared during a road trip to Oklahoma to pick up Butler's children.
Their bodies were later discovered in a cow pasture inside a chest freezer on April 14, and the car was found abandoned close to the state border.
Court documents have revealed how Tiffany Adams, 54, the children's grandmother and her boyfriend, Tad Cullum, 43, Cole and Cora Twombly, 50 and 44, and Paul Grice, 31, allegedly took part in the killings.
The report, obtained by KSN, states that Grice stabbed Butler to death while critically cutting his hand in the process as the 27-year-old fought for her life.
Grice is alleged to have thrown clothing with his and Butler's DNA, along with a stun device and the murder weapon, into the burial site.
The document also claims that Cullum stabbed Kelley to death and then placed his clothing, which contained Kelley's DNA, into the freezer with the bodies.
The Twombly's served as lookouts during the operation who would later confess the crime to their 15-year-old daughter in hope of creating an alibi.
Butler and Kelley's bodies were discovered buried in a hay-covered hole on a property rented out by Cullum, two weeks after they mysteriously disappeared.
Authorities believe a child custody battle between Butler and her ex motivated the suspects to kill.
They were found on land leased by Tad Collum.
All five misfits face charges of first-degree murder, kidnapping, and conspiracy to commit murder.
