'Twenty One Pilots' Receive Their First Grammy Award Without Their Pants On

"Twenty One Pilots" appear with only their underwear onstage as they receive their first Grammy Award. The duo has won the award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.

According to a report in Yahoo Music, Twenty One Pilots received their first Grammy Award. They have been nominated for other categories and they won the Best Pop Duo/ Group Performance. This happened during the 59th Grammy Annual Award Ceremony.

By the time that they were called and on their way to accept the award, they went up the stage without their pants on. However, the act has a history according to the duo. Tyler Joseph, one of the members of "Twenty One Pilots" shares that while they were watching the Grammys from before, all of them were in their underwear. He then turned to Josh and told him that if they win a Grammy award in the future they are going to receive it with their underwear on.

"Twenty One Pilots" is composed of Tyler Joseph and Josh Dunn. The duo had been performing and has released their own songs. This year, they have been nominated for five Grammys. These include, Record of the Year, Best Pop Duo/ Group Performance, Best Rock Performance, Best Rock song and Best Song Written for Visual Media according to a report in AP.

Their fourth album "Blurryface" that was released in May 2015 was a double-platinum. It sold over one million copies in the United States. This specific album of Twenty One Pilots covers the songs "Stressed Out" and "Ride."

Meanwhile, Los Angeles Times reports that Adele received five awards for the 59th Grammys. These five awards include categories for Best album, Best Song and Best Record of the year. She accepted the awards humbly and paid homage to Beyonce.

In the meantime, Beyonce had the most nominations in the Grammys this year and received two awards. The 59th Annual Grammy Award happened on Sunday.
