Conor McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather News & Update: UFC Champion May Have Edge against Pound-for-Pound Great, MMA Great Anderson Silva Mentions

Conor McGregor may have an edge over Floyd Mayweather, by any chance their fight will come into realization, former MMA Champion Anderson Silva expressed on an interview. Silva considers McGregor's supremacy in creative striking, being the best with the technique.

Conor McGregor recently showed off his luxuries when he attended a Q&A event at Manchester. He rode a private jet, entertained, had selfies with, and partied a crowd of 5,000. He is known to do whatever he wants, and has the guts to do so because of his current status in UFC, as reported by Mirror.

Now, after posting a footage in Instagram, it seems like Connor McGregor is hinting that his fight against Floyd Mayweather may actually come true. On the post, he is shown to be inside a boxing ring and does sparring sessions, presumably in preparation for the upcoming big event. The UFC champion swore that he will not fight again unless he face Mayweather inside the ring.

Branding Floyd Mayweather as "scared," Conor McGregor intends to annoy the boxing legend and have his way on the challenge. On the other hand, Mayweather responded to the challenge saying that the fight is "likely" to happen. The UFC champion insists that a fight with Mayweather is his top priority.

Anderson Silva, considered to be the greatest MMA fighter of all time, acknowledge Conor McGregor's higher chance of winning. For him, Conor "has the best stand-up technique in the UFC," as reported by Fox Sports. Silva wants to test his technique against McGregor "someday."

Silva also mentioned that though Mayweather is no simple guy, Conor McGregor is the "best now," breaking all the records. Though Floyd Mayweather is a formidable opponent, boxing and UFC are two different sports with different techniques, which could give the upper hand over the other.

However, the fight still has its own hassles, as both Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather demands to be paid $100 million, exclusive of the pay-per-view buys. But Dana White said that both fighters will only be offered $25 million each, and PPV options will be under discussion, as Yahoo reports.
